

To kick off Black History Month on Feb. 1, 91Ѱ’s Office of Intercultural Relations and 91Ѱ Athletics hosted “Curators of Change,” a panel discussion on African American culture within the sports world. Participants at the event in the Big Blue Room at the Ted Constant Convocation Center included Antoine Bethea, former NFL player from Newport News; Demel Bolden, student-athlete welfare marketing coordinator at 91Ѱ; men’s basketball player Imo Essien; Bruce Stewart, deputy athletic director and chief operating officer of 91Ѱ Athletics; and Dominick Fink, former NFL cheerleader and current coach of the 91Ѱ Dynasty Dance team.
