The Vice President is responsible for the financial, operational, and administrative well-being of the University and is charged with the ethical and responsible stewardship of university resources.

Senior Associate Vice President for Finance
The Senior Associate Vice President for Finance oversees the Office of Budget and Financial Planning and Office of Finance. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the university’s overall financial health, reporting accurate financial results, aligning the allocation of resources with the university’s strategic priorities, monitoring adherence to budget, and developing long-term financial and operational strategies.
The Office of Budget and Financial Planning provides the primary support and analysis to University leadership in fiscal and budgetary policy development to promote attainment of the University's mission and strategic plan. The Office oversees sound budget and financial planning practices in a collegial fashion with the University community and the Commonwealth of Virginia to ensure the effective and efficient management of resources.

The Office of Finance is responsible for ensuring that all funds are properly received, recorded, and reported in accordance with university policies and State, and Federal regulations. This office is comprised of student accounts/bursar, payroll, financial reporting, general accounting, fixed assets, internal controls, and data control functions.

works collaboratively with campus departments and the vendor community to ensure strategic sourcing, contract management, and efficient procurement processes to meet the needs of the campus community and positively impact the campus and beyond.
is responsible for ensuring that all payments for the University are processed in accordance with a multitude of policies and procedures, including Internal Revenue Service requirements, state coding requirements, and prompt payment.
